#‘need some time ALONE?!??

Have you tried dining in an EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN Restaurant all by your self? Heheh…feeling food-trip lang!?  why not? ‘go dare?

…that feeling na, gusto mo pero di mo magawa! …those times when you need to reward yourself after some hard-days work pero nanghihinayang ka! …those chances when you can rest naman sana, but you just can’t grab!  … ‘yong time na dapat para sa sarili mo na, pero di mo naman matiis na mang-dedma kapag parang may kailangan kang gawin para sa iba.

We were told that for us to function well in our responsibilities, we need to take time out for a break; some time for solitude, some time to relax so that we can refresh and gain some more energy in fulfilling our commitments to our family and to others as well.

So true indeed! Tired & stressed as we usually are, we want as much to enjoy a whole-day rest to equate the toxic days that has been.

However, just as Jesus was not able to refuse the sheep without shepherds, how much more that us, parents can bear the sight of just allowing our kids do their thing so unconsciously, letting them mess-up, to the point that they would no longer know how to mend and put things back to its place. ‘yong tipong you’ll even be guilty for taking time out while your family needed you to be there for them.

Ganito pala, with the gospel of Mark 6: 30-34, yong time na akala mong di mo naibigay sa sarili mo, yon yong time na mai-enjoy ng family mo habang magkakasama nyong ginagawa ang mga bagay na minsan ay ginugusto mong gawin mag-isa.

“If children live with sharing, they learn generosity. If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect. If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them. If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.” Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

For the world to raise a shepherd like Jesus, each one of us has to experience it within the family through us, parents as leaders. Children learn what they live even if we don’t directly tell them that they should learn the kind of experience that we provide for them.

Eventually, “children live what they learn” … they would be the ones to prove na mas masarap kumain sa eat-all-you-can restaurant if you’re not alone! 🙂 sunset
